Refreshing or Revolting: 2015 Ford Focus

Home  >  WOT  >  Refreshing or Revolting: 2015 Ford Focus The Fusion ushered in the age of the Aston Martin nose for Ford, and since then the look has made it to the Fiesta, C-Max, and even the Mustang. Now, the look has been applied to the refreshed 2015 Ford Focus, and the result looks much like an enlarged Fiesta. Is it an improvement? Check out our side-by-side comparison and decide for yourself. The face-lifted Focus gets Ford's characteristic Aston-like grille, finished in chrome and featuring five slats. The headlights appear narrower, but they bulge out from the body slightly and now feature projector lamps. The front valance has also been redesigned, receiving chrome accents surrounding the available LED foglights. Around back, the rear fascia has been tweaked slightly on the hatchback model, now looking less rounded. The taillights have been brought in on the top and bottom just a smidge for an overall sleeker look. The hatch itself is also new, having been smoothed out by laser brazing. The rest of the car, including the doors, fenders, and roof, is unchanged. The 2015 Ford Focus' interior looks predominantly the same, featuring the same two-binnacle gauge setup with central in-cluster screen. Metallic trim now adorns the HVAC vents and accents portions of the center console. Is the refreshed Focus' new Aston Martin-aping look refreshing or revolting? Tell us in the comments below. Last week, we asked you to evaluate the refreshed 2015 Nissan Juke. Though the majority of commenters didn't like the original Juke's looks to begin with, a few thought the subtle changes improved the compact crossover. User Yoma said, "Refreshing. Headlights add a modern touch." Meanwhile, Giallofly liked the look overall, but didn't think it was for him, saying, "It's a cute car for young people. Not old farts like me. Refreshing." But the prevailing opinion among commenters was that the refresh did little to help the Juke's already polarizing looks. Rowdy said, "Quite revolting, why would I buy a frogmobile? And the car's name rhymes with puke." LockedOn said, "Hideousely as REVOLTING as before! You'd have to be almost legally blind to buy this Monstrosity!" Skywarped's answer was much simpler, saying, "Awful. Just Awful."
