This 1976 Mercury Capri II for sale on Hemmings.com left the factory with the 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, but an early owner opted to bolt on performance upgrades that include a Rotomaster turbocharger, an Offenhauser intake manifold and a Holley carburetor. It isn’t clear how much power this combination adds, but it’s certain that the car’s current output is higher than the stock engine’s 88 horsepower and 116 pound-feet of torque. The current owner (reportedly the car’s second) claims the 29,000 miles indicated are actual, and the car’s overall condition seems to back up this declaration. From the seller’s description:
only 29K miles. Mint condition. one owner car. White pearl with green pin striping. This was somebodies baby it could be yours. Turbo charged. Offenhauser intake manifold, holly carburetor. Belts hoses and plugs are all brand new and ready to roar. Camel leather interior with new car smell.
